Missed opportunities… On the starting grid, Rubens Barrichello said to Marion Jollès that he would aim the victory today. Being of a good side of the track, he hoped to escape from the beginning by erasing his team-mate and Sebastian Vettel. Brawn GP driver is going to disenchanted quickly. This afternoon was a real nightmare for him. The story wasn't better for the poleman. The german was too much optimistic in the first lap and it's Jenson Button who laughs. An only error but it doesn't forgive ! But « Sebi » signed a pretty race despite Red Bull's bad choice tactics. Nico Rosberg, Mark Webber, Jarno Trulli, Kazuki Nakajima and a shy Robert Kubiça are the heroes of shadow. They realized a good performance this sunday even if the cameras don't show us. At Ferrari, we are disappointed of drivers' GP. Felipe Massa takes three little points while Kimi Räikkönen changes his nickname to become « Invisible man ». Istanbul Park is a boring. Sebastian Vettel's error kills the race. The fourth place seems promised to Nico Rosberg a time but it's Jarno Trulli (went of nowhere) who will have it. Bad faith or disappointment, we don't know. But a thing is sure, the great moments of this GP amounts in a sentence : Jenson Button wins at the first lap, Rubens Barrichello falls and Nelson Piquet Jr eats a word champion in dessert. We missed the cake but we had the cherry thanks to Renault driver.

« The track surface today was very dirty, as could be seen by the number of off-track excursions. As for us, we concentrated on finding the best set-up for Sunday's race and it's difficult to say where we are compared to the rest. On top of that, everyone is very close in performance terms, so I think we'll have to wait until tomorrow morning to understand something. The harder tyres give little grip, as we expected, while the softer ones seems to suffer significant degradation, even though, as the track evolves, that situation should change. The new aerodynamic elements we have here are definitely not worth a second, but they are a small help, which when put all together, improve our performance. » Felipe Massa

« It's been a slightly different Friday today from our recent experiences. We don't look that competitive at the moment however it is still early in the weekend and depends on the programmes and fuel levels that our competitors are running. There is a lot of work for us to achieve, particularly in the first sector where we seem to be suffering the most, but we believe that we understand the issues. « On low fuel, the car was well balanced and had good grip, while once we had the race fuel on board, the situation got worse and we suffered oversteer, mainly on the softer tyre. Honestly, I’d expected to start higher up the grid, especially as we were pretty competitive in Q1 and Q2. Starting from seventh, it becomes tough to aim for the top, so we have to be realistic. However, we mustn’t forget this will be a long race and anything can happen. As usual, I will give it my best shot. » Felipe Massa

« The team has done a great job since the practice sessions yesterday to make improvements and the car felt immediately better this morning. Qualifying went really well although I did have a worrying moment in Q2 when traffic affected my second run and the times were so close between the top eleven drivers. The main question in qualifying today was trying to understand which tyre performed better. I had a better feeling through the high-speed corners with the prime tyre and it was the best choice for me so I went for just the one run on the primes in Q3. I lost my first two flying laps to traffic but the third lap was really good. I have the advantage of starting from the clean side tomorrow so will be aiming for a good start and take it from there. » Rubens Barrichello

« A very difficult day for us. We have to accept the fact that sixth place was the best we could do, because we were not quick enough to fight against those in front of us. We must continue to push on the car development front to make up for what we lack in terms of performance, starting with the race at Silverstone. From Friday it was complicated to find a way to make the tyres work well: for example, today the softs seemed to go better than on previous days, but using them right from the start would have been a risk because the degradation, up to yesterday seemed to be pretty significant. » Felipe Massa

« It was a difficult and immensely frustrating day for me today. We had a problem with the clutch at the start which caused the car to go into anti-stall so I wasn't able to get off the line. That dropped me back into the pack and to complicate things further, I was hitting the limiter on the straights which meant that I couldn't overtake and had to take risks. So it was an eventful first half of the race as I tried to compensate for the problems and I had a couple of incidents with other cars. I was prepared to fight my way up the field but the damage caused to the gearbox by the problems at the start began to get worse so the team had to retire my car. It's difficult to have a day like this when you could see the pace of the car was fantastic but we will bounce back. Silverstone is one of my favourite circuits so I'll stay positive and look ahead to the British Grand Prix in two weeks time. » Rubens Barrichello
