Norisring ou la piste aux étoiles... Ce dimanche, la victoire sera pour Mercedes. Jamie Green remporte l'épreuve de Norising sous le soleil. Le podium accueille également le pôleman, Bruno Spengler et le pilote Audi-Abt, Timo Scheider. Mattias Ekström est quatrième. L'un des n°3 de McLaren, Gary Paffett, se hisse au cinquième rang. Le top 8 est complété par Paul di Resta, Bernd Schneider et Tom Kirstensen. Mercedes compte cinq voitures dans ce classement contre trois pour Audi. En Bavière, l'étoile s'est montrée invincible. Elle a dominé tout au long du week-end. Notons que Mathias Lauda est un brillant neuvième. Susie Stoddart apparaît à la onzième place. Alex Prémat et Katherine Legge sont bon derniers. Il y a eu trois abandons cet après-midi : Martin Tomczik (23ème tour), Christijan Albers (31ème tour) et Ralf Schumacher (69ème tour).

Au départ, Ralf Schumacher a perdu cinq places. Il s'est rattrapé en occupant un moment la tête de la course... Il était fermement accroché à la neuvième position mais la malchance l'a encore frappé. C'est un problème mécanique qui l'aurait contraint à l'abandon. Dommage, l'allemand aurait pu inscrire un point (le premier de sa carrière en DTM)... Ce sera pour une prochaine fois !...
