Kimi Räikkönen signed the best time on Thursday. The top 3 is completed by a McLaren and a BMW... Let us return together on this day without red flag and on some information (Nelsinho Piquet and the future of Silverstone)...

Remarks :
- "Iceman" outstrips Heikki Kovalainen and Robert Kubiça. At the break of lunch, Kimi Räikkönen was in head of the classification . He signed the best time in 1’05’’381.
- David Coulthard confirms the progress of Red Bull with his fourth position.
- Jenson Button is the fifth.
- Sebastien Bourdais is classified sixth on the STR-03. He covered a distance of race without meeting the slightest problem.
- Jarno Trulli occupies the seventh.
- Nelsinho Piquet, who will finish the trial week for Renault, is eighth.
- Kazuki Nakajima signs only the ninth time with its FW30.
- Giancarlo Fisichella 11th and Adrian Sutil 10th were divided the day.
To note :
- Renault begins to get impatient. Nelsinho Piquet has just exhausted all his jokers, he has no more the right for the error… The Brazilian driver has to regain self-control and show his qualities. Warning on the penalty if no reaction is felt !...
- The circuit of Silverstone is threatened after 2009. The FOM would require 26 millions € a year to prolong the contract until 2014… Bernie Ecclestone admits to préferer a GP in London or an escapade in India. Bye bye Northampton ?...
